Fun Family Session at The Factory at Franklin

Fall weather is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier about it. After what felt like the longest summer ever, it was such a relief to step outside for this session and not immediately start melting.

I’ve been photographing this family for a while now, so catching up with them is always one of my favorite parts. Kids grow up fast, and getting to see the changes from one session to the next is a fun perk of working with longtime clients.

When they suggested The Factory at Franklin, I was all in. I’m usually there with seniors, so a family session was a nice change of pace. And this wasn’t just a pretty backdrop for them. It’s a place they hang out a lot, so it made sense to capture them somewhere that’s already part of their life together.

The brick, the old industrial details, and those big windows gave us so much variety without having to go far, and the softer fall light made editing these a real treat.

I love when a location means something to a family. Years from now, these photos won’t just show what they looked like. They’ll show where they spent their time together.

Here are a few of my favorites!
